EarthBound 64 in Jeopardy?
You rub your sweaty palms together and gather your thoughts. "I'll take Nintendo Power for $500, Alex."
"This game has been taken off of the future releases section in Nintendo Power magazine," says Alex calmly, yet ominously.
You become nervous. "What is...Beetle Adventure Racing?" you say, almost asking if its the right answer. Your voice has a hint of hopefulness.
"No."
"What is...Perfect Dark?" you guess again, quickly losing hope.
"No." Alex is becoming obviously perturbed.
"What is...Uhhhh....That one wrestling game?"
Irritation begins to filter into Alex's tone. "Wrong."
"How about the new racin-"
Alex suddenly loses it. "Its EARTHBOUND 64, YOU IDIOT!".
The color rushes from your face and you become sick. "Wha...WHAT?"
As the shock passes and you realize that it's true, you fall to your knees, raise your hands to the sky, and scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The J on the Jeopardy sign blows up, making a cool fire backdrop for the scene. Alex runs around like a chicken, wildly trying to put out the fire on his back. All the audience laughs heartily at the situation. The contestants to your left and right suddenly turn into oversized, taco-loving Chihuahuas on skateboards. You realize you're in your underwear.
And then you wake up.
You're relieved to realize that it was a dream. While I was writing this article, Nintendo Power had taken EarthBound 64 off their list of upcoming games. I planned to write a long article about the possible reasons for this (Thus the name "EarthBound 64 in Jeopardy?") Thankfully, I was recently informed that it has been put back on! That means we can stop holding our breaths. I guess that also means that I get to shorten the length of this article, too :)
